Mercom currently process in excess of 250,000 repairs per annum, the vast majority down to component level, utilising a wealth of knowledge from over 120 fully qualified technicians and the latest test and diagnostic systems.

Faulty equipment arriving at the goods inwards points is immediately recorded and booked on to the custom repair management system and allocated a unique barcoded identification number which is used to track the product through the repair cycle. In addition, this ensures effective and efficient work scheduling and traceability, therefore enabling the current up-to-date status to be given to the customer at any point in time.

All work stations are fully equipped to the latest standards – full ESD precautions and soldering stations having the capability to carry out both surface mount and BGA repairs are just some examples of this.

The majority of spare parts used are carried in-stock within the secure stores area.

It is acknowledged that customers expect a rapid turnaround time and Mercom have introduced work processes that allow the majority of repairs to be completed within 3-5 working days.

Repaired units, prior to the return to the customer, are subjected to stringent and comprehensive hardware/software functional testing and carry a comprehensive 6 month warranty.
